1. Introduction
Welcome to Lafe. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lafe mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by LOTUS APP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No: 16061353). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use Lafe. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription & Payments
Lafe offers subscription-based access to premium features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device.
- Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to subsequent billing periods.
5. Health & Fitness Disclaimer
Important Notice
Lafe is not a medical service. The information and recommendations provided through the Service are for general fitness and wellness purposes only.
By using Lafe, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions.
- You participate in any workouts or fitness activities at your own risk.
- We are not liable for any injuries, health issues, or adverse effects resulting from following workout recommendations.
- Data from connected wearables (Garmin, WHOOP, Strava, Apple Health) is provided by third parties and may not be fully accurate.
6. AI Coaching
Lafe uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized fitness coaching and workout recommendations. You understand that:
- AI-generated recommendations are based on the data you provide and may not account for all individual circumstances.
- AI coaching is not a substitute for professional personal training or medical advice.
- The quality of recommendations depends on the accuracy of data from your connected devices and the information you provide.
- We continuously improve our AI systems, and recommendations may evolve over time.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission.
8. User Content
You may upload content to the Service, such as profile photos or workout verification images. By uploading content, you:
- Retain ownership of your content.
- Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and process your content solely to provide the Service.
- Confirm that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by LOTUS APP LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without our express written permission.
10. Third-Party Services
Lafe integrates with third-party services including Garmin Connect, WHOOP, Strava, and Apple Health. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of third-party services.
11. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LOTUS APP LTD, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
